What is "pulmonary artery"?

The pulmonary artery is a vital blood vessel in the human body that carries deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle of the heart to the lungs. There are two pulmonary arteries in the human body, one pulmonary artery arises from the right ventricle of the heart and carries deoxygenated blood to the right lung, while the other pulmonary artery arises from the same location and carries deoxygenated blood to the left lung.
